In the January 2014 issue of Birmingham Magazine, four boutique gyms were featured in the article titled "Fit Neighborhoods". Included in these four gyms was Pepper Place's very own, Aero Joe Pilates. The article focused on the unique style of exercise being offered to the Pepper Place neighborhood through an interview with gym owner, Alison Page, who tells us why aerial fitness works, why Pepper Place was the perfect fit for this gym, and what you should remember about the facility. The three questions asked in the interview as well as a brief overview of Page's answers are provided below.

1. Why does this form of training work?
When answering this question Page emphasized their focus being on classical yoga and pilates in order to prepare students for the aerial side of what they offer. She also shared that "In everything they teach, Aero Joe's staff focuses on building lean muscles and lengthening." This type of focus helps people with sore backs, bad posture, and athletes who want to build flexibility and joint mobility.

2. Why did you choose to house your gym in this location?
Pepper Place was Page's pick primarily because of the Farmers Market, "it attracts people who are already into sustainable healthy living," said Page.  As a reasult they are able to utilize the market in order to connect with the type of people that would find Aero Joe's interesting. Perfect fit!

3. What's one thing we should remember about Aero Joe Pilates?
The innovative and challenging nature of aerial fitness is what makes Aero Joe Pilates so unique. Page hopes that people will fall in love with the classical pilates classes, and as a result get ready for aerial fitness.
