Zyp Bike

Zyp BikeShare is a dense network of 40 kiosks and 400 bikes deployed in Birmingham, AL in October 2015. Residents and visitors can access 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Pepper Place Zyp Station is located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 29th Street South. Riders can check out bicycles for short or long rides just by swiping their credit cards. Frequent riders can save by setting up a membership.

The Jones Valley Corridor follows Jones Valley from Bessemer in the west to East Lake Park near Ruffner Mountain in the east. Red Mountain and Ruffner Mountain border the valley to the south and Sand Ridge to the north.

The Corridor provides connectivity to over 30 schools and incorporates greenways and street-based trails that will serve Birmingham’s most urban residential areas and provide fantastic opportunities for recreation and multimodal commuting. Major destinations within this corridor include Miles College, the Birmingham Metroplex, AG Gaston Boys and Girls Club, Five Points West Commercial District, Rickwood Field, Princeton Hospital, Birmingham-Southern College, The Civil Rights District, the Entertainment District, UAB, the new Birmingham Ball Park, Railroad Park, Sloss Furnaces, the Design and Lakeview Commercial Districts, Avondale Park, East Lake Park, Roebuck Golf Course, and the downtown areas of Bessemer, Midfield, Fairfield, Birmingham and Woodlawn.
