Blueprint on 3rd Celebrates 5 Years
In 2018, Dean Robb, owner/operator of Blueprint on 3rd, knew that Pepper Place would be a good location for his new restaurant. Today, as the 5 year anniversary of the opening of Blueprint on 3rd approaches, he knows it is a great location. Robb says that the Pepper Place neighborhood is thriving and is “not showing signs of slowing down”, adding “I think we’re in a perfect spot for growth and developing the brand”.
Blueprint on 3rd, or B3, is a brand that thrives on team work and great relationships. Robb often mentions these things when he talks about B3. The location, on the east end of Pepper Place at 3000 3rd Ave South, is just one mile from his home of 30 years, and he says it seemed “obvious to me that this charming location would be a great place to give back to the community that has been so wonderful to me”. He also appreciates the “synergy of common goals that Pepper Place provides – it’s more like a family of sorts”.
That theme continues inside the restaurant as well, where 80% of his team has been there over three years, many since Day 1. Robb feels that if you believe in and take care of your team they will, in turn, take great care of the customers. “There could be no better part of Blueprint than the people I work with”, he says. Even the fantastic menu tells stories of relationships. The favorite Oyster Shooter was inspired by travels with his wife and co-owner/operator, Jenny. “We served 800 of them for our wedding reception 17 years ago”, Robb says.
Robb smiles when he speaks of B3 and all that it has seen over the last 5 years. He hoped to create a welcoming, comforting place with great food and great people, and he’s done just that. A night under the lights on the beautiful patio will convince you. But with so many great options on the menu, it’ll be hard to choose what to order.
