Introducing the ZZ Pack-A-Punch, named after the author ZZ Packer! A cocktail containing Ole Smoky Hunch Punch Moonshine, lemon, & mint. This is only one of The Lumbar’s delicious limited-edition cocktails created in celebration of National Literacy Month this September.
Other cocktails on the list include:
- The Antagonist (after the main villain or conflict in a story)
- Triple Threat (after the plot, conflict, and resolution of a story)
- War & Peace (a classic novel by Leo Tolstoy)
- ICE-9 (a tribute to “Cat’s Cradle” by kurt Vonnegut)
- Rupi’s Kiss (based on Rupi Kaur’s debut book of poems “Milk & Honey”)
- Justice Delayed (a tribute to MLKs letter from Birmingham Jail)
- I Yam What I Yam (a tribute to “Invisible Man”)
- Tequila Mockingbird (A tribute to To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee)
- Immortal (A tribute to “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” — this cocktail is also benefitting the American Cancer Society Junior Board throughout the month of September.
In addition to the new additions to The Lumbar cocktail menu, they will have a community library throughout the month in a take-a-book/leave-a-book style and will also be doing a book drive for the month, collecting books for Big Brothers Big Sisters for kids who are doing school from home this semester.
