This Friday, November 2nd, Pepper Place plays host once again to one of Birmingham’s most exciting, inviting, and engaging cultural experiences. Dia de los Muertos—or the Day of the Dead—hosts some of the most authentic Mexican food vendors in the Birmingham area. Enjoy many of your favorite foods like street tacos, tamales, aguas frescas, tortas, quesadillas, gorditas, corn on the cob, and much more. Enjoy the Corona/Modelo Beer Garden along with The Cantina’s Famous Margaritas made with Hornitos Tequila.
Local artists from the region come together to share their Dia de los Muertos inspired crafts. Be sure to visit the Mercado from 5PM – 11PM and grab your own Dia de los Muertos inspired art. Our amazingly talented face painters, who give life and the authentic look to the Dia de los Muetos Festival, will be located in the Mercado from 5p-11p. Stop by and become your own walking piece of art.
Younger guests can enjoy our amazing Kids Corner provided by The Birmingham Museum of Art located at the far side of the Mercado with plenty of interesting crafts. Open from 5p-8p.
The party takes place on the streets of Pepper Place and goes all night long!
