“Eccentricities: A Leap Year Art Bash
Magic City Art Connection seeks to create, inspire, educate, and collect in Birmingham’s art community. Their annual winter benefit, Art Bash, is known for reinventing ‘cool Birmingham spaces’ into a fun, themed and one-night-only party experience and environment. Take a leap with Magic City Art Connection on Saturday, February 29th during “Eccentricities: A Leap Year Art Bash” at our sister property, Sloss Docks.
The evening will transform part of the warehouse to feature eccentric artist installations and performances, including projections by Katie and John Gaiser: A Married Couple. Every year attendees look forward to Guest Portraits by award-winning photographer Liesa Cole of Studio GoodLight. There’s also a silent auction with wonderful works of art from 2020 MCAC exhibiting artists, other local artists and collectors, including plus more great auction items you’ll want to bid on. Like any good party you can expect a killer dance floor and soundtrack, plus tasty culinary bites and libations.
Art Bash benefits MCAC’s Imagination Festival which provides art programming for thousands of city elementary students and families over 3 days in downtown’s Linn Park, April 24-26, 2020. The bash is from 7 to 10pm and tickets range from $25-$135 depending on the eccentricities you want to get into!
