Tenant Spotlight: The Lumbar at Pepper Place

The Lumbar at Pepper Place is a bar with a creative twist.

This science and medical themed concept was created by Rylie Hightower, RHK Holdings Chief Executive Officer and biomedical neuroscience PhD student at UAB. The Lumbar features a mix of both trendy work and play spaces. In addition, they offer amazing local food and drink options. Whether brainstorming late into the night or simply catching up over a cocktail, The Lumbar is truly a collaborative hub for the entire community and beyond.

This summer the Lumbar has had numerous unique theme weeks. During these weeks, the bar hosted special guests and offered many great food + drink deals. This past week The Lumbar celebrated Aviation Week! One of the many exciting specials offered was a ACTUAL flight of beer in a custom built wooden airplane. Some of the other summer themes have included Apollo Week and Shark Week.

This coming October you can be looking forward to Superhero Week at The Lumbar. The bar will be partnering with local Children’s Hospital and many of the proceeds will go straight to charity. In conjunction, the bar will also be launching a brand new menu filled with many new, delicious food offerings.
